What Blue Shield Promise's doula benefit covers
Blue Shield Promise follows the California statewide standing recommendation, meaning most eligible members can begin doula services without a separate referral from their OB. The Maternity Care Management team can also provide the recommendation directly if needed — making the process straightforward for members.

Order in your third trimester so it arrives before your baby. WIC can provide a loaner pump if you need one sooner while your plan order processes.
